I hold the position of Professor within the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot Watt University.

Before that:

PhD St Andrews University: Quasi-optical mm-wave instrumentation

St Andrews University: Post doctoral research in mm-wave instrumentation for fusion plasma diagnostics and pre-detector optical processing.

DERA (now QinetiQ) Malvern: research in mm-wave imaging, adaptive optics, advanced imaging, fibre-optic sensors

Cranfield University: Senior Lecturer

Heriot Watt University: Senior Lecturer, Professor (2007)

I lead the Imaging Concepts Group. We conduct research into several non-conventional imaging techniques, including

Spectral imaging

Wavefront coding (8 Mb ppt file)

Aperture Synthesis

Millimetre-wave imaging

Biophotonic and Retinal Imaging

-Snapshot retinal spectral imaging 1,2

-Spectral imaging of the rat retina

-Processing of spectral retinal images 1, 2

Optical Field Encryption (which isn't imaging)
