Infrared Image of a very fine biodegradable yarn on controlled hot plate

Depending on extensive thermal analysis, a fine multi-filament yarn of 74 filaments, biodegradable aliphatic aromatic co-polyester yarn, are drawn on hot plate at 50 OC in the hot drawing process. IR image illustrates the temperature variation to get the temperature profile scale along the fibres, image colours correspond to the temperature scale on the right.
