Research Seminars

To further research and development initiatives within Electrical, Electronic
and Computer Engineering, a programme of Research Seminars are held on
Wednesday afternoons at 2.15pm during term time. These seminars give
visiting speakers from other departments within the University, other UK
and foreign Universities (within budget limits), as well as industry the
opportunity to come and talk about their current research work and
future plans. Such an exchange of information is valuable as it helps
academic and research staff in this department to be informed of current
developments as well as providing the catalyst for potential joint
        research activities.
Any member of the Departmental Staff can suggest potential speakers
for the seminar programme. It is suggested that those wishing to invite
a speaker make first contact with him or her, to confirm their
willingness to participate, before forwarding the speaker's contact
details to the seminar coordinator. If you want to invite a speaker,
        please follow the guidelines
link for more information. A seminar
form is available for this purpose here. A limited budget is
available to assist with speaker's traveling expenses as well as provide
appropriate hospitality. It is unlikely that traveling expenses
greater than £250 will be paid without prior approval of the seminar
        coordinator.

An updated list of all speakers scheduled for the next two terms is
maintained online following the links below:
