Our EPSRC Strategic Equipment proposal (PI: Brian D. Gerardot) has been assessed through the EPSRC peer review process and has been recommended for funding. This grant means that Direct Write Laser for fabrication of large scale but bespoke 2D photonic devices with novel functionalities, an electron beam evaporator for deposition of high-quality metals and dielectrics with nanometre precision, and a spectroscopic imaging ellipsometer for surface and materials metrology will be purchased and strengthen our current nanofabrication capability.

The meeting will be held at The Wordsworth Hotel, Grasmere and the Funds will pay full accommodation charges and UK rail fares. This forum provides an excellent opportunity for the junior speakers to meet leaders in the field on an informal basis and to discuss their current and future work. Well done, Dandan!
